Well I just have to say I am hating this winter! I am not a fan of snow or ice and the cold. It has been a mixture of both this week. My company even shut down half a day on Thursday due to the ice. I am so ready for spring! Ash and I spent the day out at the mall and really had a great time. It is so nice to be able to spend time with her these days. She is growing so fast and before I know it I will be sending her off for college. So I am really taking in anytime I can with her and cherish it. She is becoming a pretty young women and sometimes I wish she could see it, but she is just like her mom!
David surgery is one week out. I am getting very nervous about it all but wanting it all to be over with as well. He is in so much pain these days that I know he is hoping that this will end some of the pain. I am just not sure, I guess living with this for so many years and seeing how much his limitation change each year does not leave me much hope. My only wish for him would be to see him be able to do anything he wants without the pain that he has. I miss being with him and being able to take the kids with us to the zoo or anything really. These days it is just me going with the kids while he has to stay at home. I just miss him.
This is my story of my daily life with the struggles of Fibromyalgia. The one thing I always hear is I can't move with this disease and I hope to prove this wrong for myself by moving & working every day!

Busy Days
Well it has been awhile since I posted so I thought I would tonight. Today David and I started all the pre-op procedures. Another long afternoon at the hospital and only the start of it all.
Ash is having alot of time with her boyfriend these days but seems to be doing well. She has choosen her classes for next year and no surpise to me she choose photography. She loves taking photos and there really good.
DJ had his best friend Spencer over the weekend and seem to enjoy the company. We are all looking forward to his birthday on March 1st. I can't believe he will be 8; boy time sure does fly by.

Snow Day

Well Louisville got the snow we have been lucky not to have. We now have about 3 inches of snow, not so bad but we had ice on top of that, so we had our first snow day in years! The kids are loving it and hoping it will be that way tomorrow so they can stay home again. For me I will be back at work, I don't think taking two days off would be liked very much. I am taking off 4 days as it is in March for David surgery and hoping to take a week off in June to spend with the kids. I don't know if we can go anywhere but I am hoping for a nice week with them anyways. They sure do need it! I am posting a pic of Ash that she took of her self over the weekend. She is growing so fast and is becoming a beautiful young women!

Saying Goodbye/Goodluck

We, as are many americans, just attended a sendoff for our nephew Ronnie. He is heading to Irag sometime in the next month or two. He will first head back to Germany on Thursday, where he has been station for the last several months. I found it hard to watch him go. But he will be in our thoughts and prayers. DJ is looking up to him and even wrote a short story at school about how he wants to be just like him when he grows up,so I took this photo of them before we left today. Please pray for Ronnie as he travels on what he says is "Just a job" Ronnie we are so proud of you!

DJ
Okay who said kids were not smart? Our loveable DJ has had many problems this school year with his behavior, his grades great but no so much his behavior. Well he is on a color system at school, Green is a great day, Yellow a good day but with some problems and so on and so on. Well it goes to Red which is a bad bad day and could end up in a referral. Well to encourge him to be on Green we came up with a bonus for him, on Green 15 extra min for bedtime. So instead of 9 he can stay up til 9:15, which usually goes into 9:30. Well yesturday he had a substitute and was on Red and it is his job to color in the star on his homework page for us to see what he did for the day. Well he colored in Green so that we would have no ideal that he was on Red and would get the extra minutes. So when the teacher returned today he seen what he did and put him on Yellow and called David. When David grounded him he states that "I am no longer speaking to you because you grounded me!" Then later ask David "Didn't you ever do anything wrong when you were my age" Too smart! That's our son, you have got to love him!

Sunday

Well it is Superbowl Sunday and although David & I don't get into football too much we will be watching. Our favoriate sport is Nascar and we counting down the days to the Daytona 500!! Dale Jr is of course of favorite and we are dying to see how well he does this year with his new team. Another thing we are excited about is that Lost is back on and although there is only 8 new shows, thanks to the writers strike, we along with Gin ( our friend and neigbor!) will be watching every Thursday!

Life
Well another week has come and gone! Ash boyfriend, Kody, left on Thursday night and to my surpise she seems to be handling it well. She had KME comptiution this moring at her school. That did not go so well, but she got through it.
DJ is doing well in school and as always keeping us on our toes! We signed him up for another spring of baseball. He will once agian be on the Yankes and we are hoping this year will be good for him! He is very upset that David will not be able to make it to the games at the very begining but understands. So maybe I will soon have pics to post of him in his uniform, he is always soo cute!
David and I are just getting through. We are just taking in one day at a time!
